School Effectiveness COVID-19 Risk Assessment Plan.

COVID 19 SYMPTOMS:

• a high temperature–this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)

• a new, continuous cough–this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)

• a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste–this means you’ve noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal

WHAT YOU MUST DO:

• IF ANYONE IN YOUR HOUSEHOLD(INCLUDING OBVIOUSLY YOUR CHILD) DISPLAYS ANY OF THESE SYMPTOMS YOU MUST NOT SEND YOUR CHILD INTO SCHOOL.

• Your whole householdand support bubblewill need to stay at home,while you arrange for a test for the symptomatic person and await the results.

• Please let the school know why your child is absent.

• Only the symptomatic person should arrange a test, unless of course an official or GP has advised otherwise.

• Whilst your child is off school we will email work for them to do from home, providing they are well.

• When test results are through, you must phone the school before you send your child back in.

• Please keep trying to get the test booked if you encounter delays
