TEACHING ASSISTANT – 1:1 COGNITION & LEARNING

 Fixed term until 31 August 2022

Grade D, Points 3 & 4

FTE- £20,812 to £21,189
 Pro rata salary:  £10,935 – £11,358

 

HOURS:         23 hours, 15 minutes per week, term time only
                        8.25 am to 3.05 pm Monday
                        8.35 am to 3.05 pm Tuesday and Thursday
                        8.35 am to 12.05 pm Wednesday and Friday

 

 

 We are looking for:
 A Teaching Assistant to join our team to support the cognition and learning of a specific Year 6 child so that he can fully access the curriculum   before he leaves us to start secondary school in September.

You will:

  • have the ability and willingness to support the child’s academic growth and independence, whilst acknowledging that he requires support to enable him to learn
  • be experienced in or be willing to undertake training in Emotion Coaching
  • be willing and able to build a nurturing, working relationship with the children
  • be passionate and committed to making a difference to children who have diverse needs
  • recognise that children have very different and individual needs and be able to tailor your provision accordingly
  • be able to motivate and encourage children on an individual basis and as part of a group
  • be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children you are responsible for or come into contact with in accordance with school procedures.

HIGHER LEVEL TEACHING ASSISTANT

TEACHING ASSISTANT LEVEL 4

 

START DATE:  

17 APRIL 2023 or earlier if possible

 SALARY: 
Grade G, Point 8 – 12:

FTE:  £22,777 – £24,496

PRO RATA:   £15,814 – £17,388

 HOURS:         30 per week                       8.30 am to 3.25 pm            Term time plus training days 

 

The main purpose of the job will be to enable the release of teachers by taking responsibility for whole class agreed learning sessions and whole class emergency cover.  You will relish the challenge and be able to adapt quickly.

You will have:

  • minimum of an NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in a relevant subject,
    or
  • HLTA status,

or

  • Substantial experience of work in related field.

  • at least a Grade C GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths.
